SUMMARY

Throughout my 10-week internship, I learnt how to communicate my ideas, collaborate with others, and had fun exploring NYC! This was such an amazing opportunity to see how product design is practiced in industry and learn from senior product designers! My work is under an NDA, so please reach out if you want to learn more 💌

WHAT I DID

Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to hone different skills!

learnings: research, storytelling, collaboration, personas, storyflows & wireframes
LEARNINGS

It’s important to tell a story

When talking to other stakeholders, it’s important to communicate within a central narrative to guide and center the discussion. I didn’t realize how relevant it was to have a persona outside of UX to provide context, guide the story and ground the pain points through their journey.

Ask for feedback

I learnt to be proactive and to ask for help and feedback when I felt stuck or wanted to get a different perspective!

Keep iterating

Whether it was designing wireframes or crafting my research deck, there were always a lot of iterations, and that’s okay! I learnt to be ok with change and to not feel too stuck to one idea or design!

THANKS

I’m very grateful for all the opportunities I had to learn! I also wanted to thank my mentors throughout this internship: my manager, Amha, my buddy Shawn and Katie who helped me hone my research skills! I’m also grateful to my broader CX team and for all the coffee chats I had!
